Powered by Weather Underground (wunderground.com), Wunderground Windows Vista Sidebar Gadget is a simple desktop gadget that shows an accurate weather forecast for almost any location in the world. It has two measurement units available: Fahrenheit and Celsius.
Although the app's name suggests that it only works for Windows Vista, since it's a system gadget, it's also compatible with Windows 7.
The interface is represented by a small frame that shows the current weather from San Franciso, California, in Fahrenheit, by default. However, you can access the settings panel to enter the city, state, country, or ZIP code of a location, click a button to search for it, as well as refine the search by choosing a location from a drop-down list.
You can find out the wind, humidity, dew point, pressure and visibility statistics, as well as visit the developer's website to get a 10-day weather forecast and examine the location's position on the satellite, along with a radar, history, astronomy, and other details.
Thanks to options shared among most Windows widgets, it's also possible to make Wunderground Windows Vista Sidebar Gadget's frame stay on top of other windows, place it anywhere on the screen, and adjust its opacity level.
