Description

WordsEx

WordsEx is a handy tool for grabbing text from the internet. It's designed to help you retrieve, extract, and display information easily. Plus, it’s great for taking notes!

How Does WordsEx Work?

Using WordsEx is super simple! Just drag your mouse over any text you want to copy. It doesn’t matter which mouse button you use; just pull it over the text. The best part? It instantly copies what you highlight, neatly snapping to whole word boundaries. This means everything is formatted nicely in Unicode for your Windows clipboard.

Pasting Made Easy

Once you've copied the text, you're ready to paste it wherever you need—be it in an email, Notepad, or any other document on Windows. How cool is that?

What About Citations?

The copied text comes with a nice bonus: it includes two lines at the end that show the URL and title of the source you quoted from. So if you're doing research or just need to keep track of where your info came from, WordsEx has got your back!

A Few Limitations

However, there are some things to keep in mind. Right now, WordsEx doesn’t highlight the text you’ve dragged over, which can be a bit confusing at times. Also, if your mouse drag goes outside the window area, it won't automatically scroll down for you.
