Description

Wolga is a gadget that will allow you to boot a computer remotely.

Most modern motherboards with an embedded Ethernet controller support WoL. Usually Wake on LAN must be enabled in the Power Management section of the motherboard's BIOS.

It may also be necessary to configure the computer to reserve power for the network card when the system is shut down. (In Windows, in "Device Manager" -> "Network Card")

To use the functionality of WOL, you need the IP and the MAC address your computer. You can use broadcast address as IP if you want to wake up a computer on local are network. Wake-up also works over the internet if your/ISP's router allows to recieve and forward magic packets
