Window Pry

Window Pry is a really handy app that helps you grab metadata from any window handle you want to check out. It’s super easy to use! Just click on the element you’re interested in, and bam! You get details like the handle’s name, the class it belongs to, if it has text, its parent window, and even its RECT structure.

This software makes it easy to pull up information about a window or a window handle with just one click. There are two ways to grab info. You can use the Finder tool by dragging and dropping it over the instance you want to analyze. Or if you prefer, there’s a Watch cursor function that pulls information from whatever handle is under your cursor.

Viewing Your Data

You can see the metadata you've chosen in two ways: as a summary with basic parameters or as a detailed list. The data displayed includes things like handle name, RECT structure, its position in the parent instance, control ID, window style, size, resolution, and whether or not it supports Unicode language. This info can be super helpful when you're developing your own handles or fixing runtime errors.

Explore Your Windows

The Window Tree view shows all open windows on your desktop organized in nodes. You can see how they relate and the order they were accessed. Plus, you can check out all running processes—including those sneaky background ones!

Simplified Views

If you want an easier look at things, Window Pry lets you hide untitled or hidden windows from the tree structure. This makes it less cluttered!
