Even though it hasn’t had an update in a while, we tested it out and found that it works just fine with the latest version of Adobe Air. The interface is straightforward—when you open Wikipedia Look-Up, a small panel shows up where you just type in the topic you're curious about and hit the button to get your results. Just a heads-up: pressing Enter won't work here!

Searching for articles on Wikipedia takes hardly any time at all! If there's ever more than one meaning (like disambiguation), no worries! The app automatically pulls up the first article it finds. You can even click links and use Wikipedia’s search feature without leaving the program's window.

Navigating Within the App

However, keep in mind that there aren’t buttons for flipping through different pages, and hotkeys don’t function for this either. To start a new search from scratch, you'll need to close and reopen Wikipedia Look-Up.

During our tests, everything ran smoothly without causing Adobe Air to freeze or crash. It doesn’t hog system resources either—it requires very little CPU and RAM to run well.
