Getting Started with WeTube

If you haven't installed it yet, you'll need Microsoft Edge to open WeTube. Even if you have other browsers like Chrome or Firefox on your computer, Edge is a must-have for this app. We’ve tested it out on systems with multiple browsers, but the prompt for Edge still pops up every time.

User-Friendly Design

Even though it doesn’t look exactly like a regular browser tab, using WeTube feels pretty familiar since it keeps the classic YouTube layout. So, you won’t run into any trouble navigating around!

The Cool WeTube Toolbar

The best part? The special WeTube toolbar! This toolbar lets you do things like capture frames from videos, download video or audio content, and even convert text to speech—all in one place.

Downloading Videos Made Easy

Once you're watching a video, you’ll notice some functions on the toolbar get activated. If you want to download a video or its audio track, just look for the floppy disk icon. Don’t forget to pick one of the available resolutions before snagging that file!

Ad-Blocker Settings

If ads bug you while watching videos, no worries! You can activate the ad-blocker by going into the settings menu. There are three parts to this blocker that you can turn on or off individually. So if you feel like letting some banners through sometimes, just uncheck them!

Extracting Frames from Videos

The camera and directional buttons are there for frame selection and output. Want to grab certain frames from your videos? Use WeTube to find and save them easily.

Foreign Subtitles? No Problem!

If you've got a subtitled video in another language that’s hard to follow, the first function on the toolbar can help you out.
