Description

WebMon

WebMon is a super handy app made for web developers and even casual users who want to keep tabs on updates from their favorite websites. It's designed to let you know when there's new content, which is pretty cool!

Easy Navigation

The interface isn't exactly what you'd call intuitive, but it's pretty simple to get around thanks to its organized options. You can easily add a new webpage just by entering the address, a description, and how often you want to check it (in minutes, hours, or days).

Customize Your Experience

If you prefer to open a different page in your browser when there's an update, WebMon lets you set that up too! Also, if you don't want it checking the whole page (like banners or ads), you can narrow it down.

Smart Content Tracking

This means the app can look for new content between specific text blocks that you define. The content gets pulled from the webpage code shown at the bottom of the panel. If you're familiar with web design, this will make things easier for spotting those text blocks. But don't worry; there's also a search function!

Stay Updated

Once everything is set up, you'll get little notifications popping up in the bottom-right corner of your desktop whenever an update happens (if sound is enabled). Clicking that notification takes you right back to the webpage.

Import and Export Options

WebMon also lets you import pages from Internet Explorer favorites or HTML bookmarks from any browser. Plus, you can export and import data in WebMon format.

User-Friendly Features

You can minimize WebMon into your system tray area and manage existing monitors easily. Want to copy links? Check log details? View monitor properties like checksum or status? You got it! You can even run checks on all or selected pages at once.

Tweak Program Preferences

If you're looking for some customization, program settings let you disable popup alerts or change their position on the screen. You can adjust sounds and time intervals too!

Performance Matters

The best part? WebMon hardly uses any CPU or RAM, so it won't slow down your computer. It runs quietly in the background without interrupting anything else you're doing! Our tests showed no issues either. While it's not as feature-rich as some other monitoring tools out there (like Webmonit), it does a solid job for being free!
