WebMate is a free plug-in for TextMate that really spices up your web editing game. It turns the Web Preview window into a WYSIWYG editor, which stands for What You See Is What You Get. Thanks to the cool built-in features of WebKit, you can see changes as you make them!
How to Use WebMate
Once you install it, just head over to the "Show options" drawer in the Web Preview window. There, you'll find a little checkbox that says "Allow live editing." Go ahead and check that! Now, whatever changes you make in the preview window will update your source document automatically.
Keep Your Edits Manageable
If you're making big changes, be careful! This might make your source code a bit tricky to read. But on the bright side, WebMate does an awesome job when it comes to generated HTML. And if you mess something up? No worries—you can always hit Undo in the source window.
