WeatherBar is a cool little tool for Windows that helps you keep track of the temperature and weather right from your Windows 7 Taskbar. It’s totally free, which is a big plus!

Simple to Use Weather Software

You know how there are tons of weather apps out there with all sorts of features? Well, WeatherBar keeps it simple. It doesn’t have many fancy options, but that’s what makes it easy to use.

Current Temperature and Forecast

The main window might not win any design awards, but it gets the job done. You can quickly see the current temperature and check out the forecast for the next three days. One thing to note is that while you can see temperatures in both Celsius and Fahrenheit, the three-day forecast only shows Fahrenheit.

Easy Location Change

If you want to check the weather in a different city, it’s super easy! Just type in the city name, and WeatherBar takes care of the rest.

Taskbar Icon Feature

The best part? It places an icon right on your Taskbar so you can see current conditions at a glance. If you right-click on that icon, boom! You get the full forecast without having to dig through menus. Perfect for those who like quick info!

Limitations to Consider

On the flip side, there are a few downsides. You can't customize how it looks at all, there’s no System Tray icon, and unfortunately, you can't put the weather info directly on your desktop for quick access.

Low Resource Usage

The good news is that WeatherBar runs on low resources all day long and works well with all versions of Windows—though it's really made with Windows 7 in mind.
