Wallpaperer is a handy little app for macOS that lives in your status bar and can automatically switch up your desktop wallpaper. How cool is that?

Easy Setup and Use

Once you get started with Wallpaperer, it’s super easy to use. Just open the menu and hit the Update option to change your wallpaper in a flash. By default, it grabs amazing images shared by Reddit users from all over the world.

Add Your Favorite Subreddits

If you want more options, head to the Preferences window. Here, you can add some new subreddits! You can either choose from a list of predefined communities or throw in your own favorites.

Startup Options and Frequency Settings

You can also decide if you want Wallpaperer to start up with your computer. Plus, you can adjust how often the wallpapers change! And don’t worry—Wallpaperer has got filters to keep any not safe for work content away from your screen.

Quality Control for Your Wallpapers

Since not all images are created equal, Wallpaperer lets you set limits on resolution and quality so everything looks sharp on your desktop. You can pick a minimum resolution level and choose how you'd like the images displayed: stretch to fill screen, full screen, fit screen, or center.

Details at Your Fingertips

Whenever a new wallpaper pops up on your desktop, Wallpaperer shows you where the photo came from along with its resolution. It even tells you who posted it and when! If you're curious about the image's source, there’s an option to launch the Reddit post right in your default web browser.

No Going Back? No Problem!

A fun little note: while there's no button to go back to the previous wallpaper directly, if you switch images quickly enough, you might just find yourself back where you started without even realizing it!
