You can use VTD in three different ways:
java -jar vtd.jar tree1 tree2 > out.xml
. This will create a phyloxml file that works with any compatible tree viewer.java -jar vtd.jar tree1 tree2 -v
. This will open up the Archeopteryx tree viewer.java -jar vtd.jar
