It may be hard to believe, but old generation mobile phones could be modified in terms of functionality in order provide a more enjoyable experience or for the sole reason to brag in front of your friends about its new capabilities.

The entire operation, however, was not as easy as it is with a smartphone. Nevertheless, some valiant users engaged in such endeavors and proceeded to mod their devices and thus stretch their limits.

Applying a modding patch could increase the default volume of the device, run some visual changes in the default menu or improve the performance of the camera by changing the drivers.

VKP Maker has been designed as a simple modding tool for early generation Sony Ericsson mobile phones. The application is basically a simple editing tool for the patch codes that saves the project to VPK file format.

There is nothing complicated about the tool as it is just a text editor that saves the information directly as VPK. All the user has to do is type in the code and save it. Its functionality also includes the possibility to open VPK files and check out their content or make improvements to it.

According to the developer, VKP Maker has been designed as an alternative to the default text editing utility in Windows, Notepad, which was used for writing and editing this sort of patches.

The application does not integrate any special features or functions except for the fact that it can save the data into VPK format.
