ViGlance is a lightweight app that makes your Windows taskbar way cooler! It's perfect for folks using Windows XP and Vista, letting them enjoy some neat features like those found in Windows 7.

The first thing you’ll notice after installing ViGlance is its awesome transparency effect on the taskbar. It gives your desktop a fresh look!

Quick Window Previews

One of the best parts about ViGlance is how it boosts your productivity. You can see little thumbnails of your open windows just by hovering over the app icons on the taskbar. This is super helpful when you're juggling multiple documents. Instead of squinting at titles, you can quickly glance at previews and pick what you need!

Easy Pinning and Managing Apps

ViGlance also lets you pin shortcuts to your favorite applications right on the taskbar, just like in Windows 7! With a simple right-click, you can minimize, restore, or close all windows from an app group with one click. Need to unpin something? No problem! Just head to the Options window and clear things up easily.

A Modern Start Button

You can even switch up the look of your Start button with a replica of the Windows 7 button. It doesn’t change any menu functions; it just looks nicer than that classic green button! Just keep in mind that this may disable some context menu options for accessing taskbar properties.

Watch Out for Extra Downloads

When you're installing ViGlance, be careful! The installer might try to sneak in other toolbars or apps that aren’t really useful. If you don’t want them, make sure to decline those offers during setup.

No Performance Impact

The great news? ViGlance is compact and won’t slow down your computer at all. It uses minimal memory and processor power. However, it's mostly handy for Windows XP users since later versions already include some similar features.
