VerCheck is a super handy app that helps you keep track of the programs you use by checking their website for any updates. It's like having a personal assistant for your software! Right out of the box, VerCheck comes ready to go with 64 applications already set up.
For each application, all you need to do is enter the URL of the page you want to check. You'll also add a little string that usually shows the version number. If VerCheck doesn't find this string, it means something might have changed!
If there's an update, you'll have to figure out what's new and install it yourself. After that, just tweak VerCheck so it knows where to look for the new version number.
If you want to add a new app, just click the (+) button! Then type in the name of the application, its URL, and a marker—this is basically a string that should show up on the webpage if nothing has changed.
Once you've set things up, click on "Check-for-New-Versions" to scan through all your applications at once. This makes it super easy to see if any updates are available!
If you ever need to go back to how everything was originally set up after using an updated version of VerCheck, just click "Restore-Defaults." This resets factory URLs and markers but won't mess with your custom settings.
You can even adjust how everything looks! Just drag those lines between column headers to change the widths as needed.
NOTE: Just a heads-up—VerCheck is for non-military use only!
