Electronic business cards have the same purpose as their paper counterparts, but their advantage is online sharing. Vcard Studio Express is a lightweight and easy-to-use application designed to help you easily create your own electronic business card.

Since this is a portable program, it is important to mention that it doesn't leave any traces in the Windows Registry. You may copy it on any USB flash drive or other devices and take it with you whenever you need to design business cards on the fly.

The application provides you with a tab-based interface, which makes it very easy to use. You are able to generate a vCard with just a few clicks.

Creating a business card from scratch

First, you have to fill in the general contact information, such as name and surname, mobile phone number, email addresses and birthday. In addition to this, you can insert a note for the contact, which appears on the business card.

The next step is to fill in the empty fields in the 'Details' tab. You can add the phone and cell numbers for home and office, fax numbers, pager, as well as a webpage URL.

The electronic business card can also capture other contact information, such as the title, address and organization name. Nevertheless, if you want to create a simpler business card, you can leave some fields empty and they appear unfilled in the output file.

After filling in the contact information, Vcard Studio Express offers you the possibility to review it. This way, you can easily identify possible mistakes and correct them.

The program saves the output in the standard business card file format - VCF, which you can open with email applications, such as Outlook. Vcard Studio Express also allows you to open and modify the content of an existing vCard file.

Unlike other similar applications, this software does not allow you to include logos, photographs or audio clips to your business card. Nevertheless, its main advantage is the ease of use, as it enables you to generate your own electronic business card easily and fast.
