User Account Picture Manager


This little application, developed by Michel Zehnder, is a handy tool designed to fetch a user's picture from Active Directory and set it as the User Account Picture on Windows Vista, 2008, 7, and 2008 R2.



Features:



  • Simple command-line interface

  • Grabs the thumbnailPhoto from Active Directory for the currently logged-on User

  • Sets the fetched picture as the User Account Picture

  • Option to include command-line parameters for additional functionality:

    • verbose - Outputs logging information to the command line

    • default - Sets a default.bmp picture if the user does not have a photo in the thumbnailPhoto AD attribute



  • Executable silently without setting a default picture when no parameters are provided
