Übersicht is a super handy and user-friendly macOS app that helps you keep track of the weather, check your system’s status, get updates, manage your to-do list, and so much more!

What Can Übersicht Do?

Basically, Übersicht lets you run different system commands and shows their results right on your desktop using little containers called widgets. How cool is that?

Customizable Widgets

You can create these widgets using HTML5. This means they are fully customizable! You can show data in tables, graphs, or charts, and they even adjust to fit different screen sizes.

Loading Widgets

The widgets for Übersicht need to be in a single file with either a JS or COFFEE extension for the app to load them properly. It’s pretty straightforward!

Real-Time Monitoring

The neat part is that Übersicht keeps an eye on any changes in your widget directory. This way, you can see updates happening live as you tweak things within a widget.

Community Widgets Galore!

The best part about Übersicht? It comes with a ton of community-created widgets! You can download and install them with just a few clicks. Just open the widgets folder from the Übersicht menu and drop in whatever you want.

Refreshing Made Easy

Once you add them to your desktop, refreshing all loaded widgets is super easy – just one click of your mouse will do it!

Edit Your Widgets

If you want to change where a widget sits on your screen, you'll need to edit its code. It would be nicer if there was an easier way to move them around. But hey, at least you can customize the content of downloaded widgets however you'd like!
