TwentyTwo is a super handy Mac OS X app made just for music lovers who want to explore tunes on the awesome music discovery site, 22tracks.com.
This site is run by some of the coolest local DJs from Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris, and London. They help you navigate through the busy world of music. On 22tracks.com, you’ll find 22 playlists across different genres, each with 22 tracks picked by expert DJs from various European cities.
With this app, you can easily discover new music trends, find fresh artists, and even explore new genres while you’re working out or just hanging out. Plus, if you hear a song you like, you can buy it right away on iTunes, 7Digital, or Beatport!
The best part? Thanks to TwentyTwo, all of this can happen without needing to open a web browser! You can control the web-based player and skip songs directly using your Apple media keys.
You get all the cool features and sharing options as if you're using your favorite browser. But guess what? You won’t waste time searching for tabs to change songs or share them on Facebook or Twitter!
The integration with media keys is one of TwentyTwo’s biggest perks compared to using a web browser. You can check out detailed info about the artist for the song currently playing and jump over to buy it in an online store.
The File menu makes it simple to open any 22tracks list. Just drop in the URL address! There’s one little hiccup: we couldn’t get it to open certain track lists yet. But hey, hopefully that will be fixed in future updates!
