Transfer Tool GUI is a super handy app that lets you share or grab files from another computer over the internet. To get started, make sure you've got it installed on both computers.
The main window of Transfer Tool GUI has a drop-down menu where you can choose to either Listen (to share a folder) or Connect (to grab a file from a remote Mac). It's really straightforward!
If you want to listen for connections, just open up the Listen for Connection window. Here, you'll need to pick a port (the default is 10241), specify the folder path you want to share, and enter a server password. Once you've done that, hit the “Start” button and check out the Connection Log area. This will show if your server is up and running.
If you're on the other end trying to connect, just open the Connect to IP window. You’ll need the host IP address, port number, and server password. For transferring files, don’t forget to specify where you want them saved and what you want to name them!
Transfer Tool GUI makes it super easy to share or transfer files between different computers without any hassle. Whether you're working from home or collaborating with friends remotely, this tool has got your back!
