Getting Started with TOS File Encryptor

Before you start, make sure you have the .NET Framework installed on your computer because this app needs it to run. Once that’s done, just register for free using your name and email address (you don’t even need to confirm it!).

How to Use the App

When you open the app, you'll see a simple layout. You can switch between encryption and decryption modes easily by clicking the buttons on the left side. Whether you're encrypting or decrypting, the steps are pretty much the same: choose your file, decide where to save it (the default is usually in the same spot), and then type in a password.

File Management Made Easy

Once your task is complete, a pop-up will tell you it's ready! Your encrypted files will have a .tosl extension and can only be opened again with TOS File Encryptor. Plus, it integrates right into your Windows Explorer! This means you can quickly encrypt or decrypt files just by right-clicking them.

Performance Insights

In our tests, TOS File Encryptor handled a file over 2GB without any hiccups! After decrypting, it leaves your original files untouched but will delete the source file when working with larger tasks like that.

Limitations of TOS File Encryptor

A little downside is that batch processing isn’t available yet—you can only encrypt one file at a time. If you try selecting multiple files from Windows Explorer, each one will open in its own instance of the app for password entry.
