Top Secret is an app designed to help you keep your personal documents safe. These days, it's not unusual to hear about people snooping around, so wanting a way to protect your info makes total sense!
The best part? Understanding how this program works is super easy! When you open it up, you'll see a simple layout with two empty fields. One field is for decrypted text or files, and the other is for encrypted content. At the bottom of the screen, there are options for choosing encryption methods and security levels—pretty straightforward! You just click on the icons on the right to start the process.
As you work with Top Secret, you'll see results in real time for both encrypting and decrypting. However, a little heads up: when you switch from one operation to another, the fields don't swap places. For example, if you're decrypting something, you'll need to enter text in the second box and see your results appear above that field. It might feel a bit odd at first!
Once you get past that minor quirk, using Top Secret becomes pretty natural. The app supports both text and file encryption. For text, all you have to do is pick one of three methods: "Decimal Digitization," "Binary Digitization," or "Alphanumerical Dig." You can also select different security levels—rest assured that whatever you choose will make your text unreadable!
If you're working with files instead of just text, it's similar! You can either fill in the document name and extension yourself (just remember they should be in drive C:) or simply browse for your file anywhere on your computer.
A cool addition is its password protection feature! You can add up to five passwords to keep your sensitive data really locked down.
One small downside we noticed: when trying out the "Toggle Language" option, it didn't work well during testing and caused an error that made us restart the app. Not ideal but manageable!
