Tidy Up is a super handy app for your Mac that helps you find and get rid of duplicate files. It's really frustrating to have all those extra copies taking up space, right? This app makes it easy to spot them and clean up your system.
When you first open Tidy Up, you'll notice how simple it is to navigate. The main window has a neat layout. On the left side, you can pick the folders you want to check for duplicates, while on the right, you can tweak the scanning settings just how you like.
This app has two search modes: Basic and Advanced. The Basic mode works well for quick scans, but if you're looking for something specific, you'll want to switch to Advanced. With this option, you can compare files based on details like file name, dates they were created or modified, file type, size, and more.
Once Tidy Up finishes scanning, it opens a new window where you can see all those pesky duplicate files. You get to choose which ones to delete—either everything or just the ones you've checked off. It’s nice because you won’t accidentally toss something important!
If you're unsure about deleting a file, Tidy Up lets you peek at its details first. You can view its attributes and even see a thumbnail if there's one available! Plus, it works with Quick Look so that everything's just a click away.
This app really shines when it comes to decluttering your Mac’s disk space by removing duplicates. Tidy Up can compare different types of files and shows which ones are taking up space unnecessarily. Then it guides you through deleting them without any hassle.
If you're ready to clear out some unwanted clutter on your Mac, check out Tidy Up!. It's part of the Duplicate Removers collection too!
