Thought for the Day is a cool little widget designed for computers that use the Yahoo! Widget Engine. It shows you a random thought every day from the Warhammer 40,000 universe, which is all about epic battles and a dystopian sci-fi setting.

Installing Thought for the Day

Even though the Yahoo! Widget Engine isn't being actively developed anymore, you can still download it from Softpas. Once you've got it, just double-click on the downloaded Thought for the Day file to add it to your engine's dock. Easy peasy!

No Logo? No Problem!

You won’t find a logo for this widget. Instead, it displays a small panel that pulls quotes from Warhammer 40K. Just keep in mind that you'll need an active Internet connection since it can't work without one.

Your Daily Quotes

The quotes are pretty intense! Some examples include: "Heresy grows from idleness," "By the manner of their death, we shall know them," and "If a job's worth doing, it's worth dying for." You can switch out the current quote by clicking the button on the frame. If a quote is too long, it'll scroll across from right to left so you can read all of it.

Customizing Your Widget

You can also customize how your widget looks! Choose from skins like blue, aqua, graphite, indigo, ruby, or sage. The Yahoo! Widget Engine gives you some handy settings too. You can set whether your widget stays on top or below other windows and even make it ignore mouse events if you want!

Go to the Softpas website, press the 'Downloads' button, and pick the app you want to download and install—easy and fast!
