The VerFier is a handy tool that helps you sign files you share with others. It ensures that the file you send is exactly the same as the original and hasn't been messed with. This makes it super useful for securely sharing certificates, videos, audio files, graphic evidence, reports, and other important documents that need to be checked for integrity.

Getting Started with The VerFier

When you first open The VerFier, it asks you to create an account and set up your online identity. You can choose to make this profile either public or private. A public profile can be found in searches online, while a private one stays hidden.

Setting Up Your Profile

You’ll pick a profile picture and fill in your name, contact info, and address. That’s all the basic info you need to get going with The VerFier. After this step, you'll create a decryption password or import a key so you can access your account safely.

Important Notes About Your Profile

Just remember: once you've made your profile, you can't change or delete it since it's stored on immutable storage. But if you'd like to keep your ID from showing up in searches, you can request that!

Your Unique ID Displayed

The VerFier automatically creates an ID for you when you're logged in. You’ll see it along with your name and address right there on the main screen.

Signing Files Made Easy

You can easily sign any type of file using the digital identity you've set up. Whether it's documents or multimedia files, The VerFier has got you covered! Just a tip: it’s better to sign a copy of the file instead of the original to avoid losing data if something goes wrong.

Check File Integrity Effortlessly

If someone sends you a signed file, checking its integrity is a breeze! Just drag and drop the file into The VerFier's main window or browse for it. Then enter the signer’s ID and hit the button to start checking. If everything looks good and no tampering has occurred, half of your main window will light up green!

No Need for Uploads!

A cool thing about The VerFier? It doesn’t upload signed files or check them on its servers; everything happens right on your local machine! While it sounds great overall, some users might find it tricky without clear instructions or detailed documentation explaining why creating an account is necessary and how everything works.
