The Shortcut - Yahoo! Widgets

The Shortcut - Yahoo! Widgets is a handy little tool made for the Yahoo! Widget Engine. It helps you create shortcuts to the folder where all your installed widgets live. This way, you can easily find those missing widgets, get rid of any that you don't use anymore, and even sort them into different folders.

Setting It Up

Once you add The Shortcut to your Yahoo! Widget Engine dock, it pops up automatically with the developer's logo. Just click on that logo, and it should take you straight to your widgets folder!

Troubleshooting Issues

If clicking doesn't work like it should, there might be an issue with the default path set for your gadgets directory. No worries—just head over to the configuration panel of The Shortcut - Yahoo! Widgets. You can change the path by typing a new one in or pasting it from your Clipboard. There's also a file navigator built right in if you need it.

A Note on File Browsing

You might run into a small hiccup when using the file browser in this widget. It only shows files and won't let you select folders. If you try to do that, you'll get an error message. To get around this, select a widget inside the folder instead, then confirm your choice to exit the file navigator. After that, just delete everything after the last slash in the path so only the folder name remains.
