Text Based Calculator is a cool little command-line app that makes it super easy to do basic math in a PowerShell environment. Whether you want to add, subtract, multiply, or divide, this tool has got you covered!
One of the best parts? It takes a step-by-step approach. This means it asks you one question at a time, so even if you're not familiar with Command Prompt, you'll feel right at home using it.
The whole program comes wrapped up in an .exe file. You can save it wherever you like on your computer or even put it on a USB drive. This way, you can use Text Based Calculator on any computer without needing to install anything! Plus, it won’t mess with your Windows registry or create extra files. If you decide to uninstall it later, just delete the executable file.
When you double-click the .exe file or run it from PowerShell, you'll see a list of four operations. Just type the letter for the operation you want to do and hit Enter!
The next step is where the magic happens! You'll enter two numbers for whatever calculation you're doing and hit Enter again. Boom! You get your answer instantly! After that, you can either do another calculation or quit and go back to your desktop.
A couple of things to keep in mind: there’s no way to save your calculations as files right now. But if you need to keep something, just select and copy what you need using Ctrl+C after hitting Enter.
This tool only works with two numbers at a time though—so no trying to add three numbers together all at once!
