Once you have Tastebooky installed, you can jump right into writing down your recipes. It’s simple and fun! The app even provides a sample item with descriptions in all the fields so you can see how everything works. Just keep in mind that you can only paste text from your clipboard; it doesn’t allow importing from other sources.

Create Recipes at Your Own Pace

The time it takes to create a recipe really depends on how complex it is and how quickly you can type out the details. While the picture field is called a gallery, it only lets you upload one image per recipe. You’ll also fill out important info like category, number of servings, source, kcal (calories), ingredients, notes, and directions.

Manage Categories Easily

You might notice that the category field has just one entry by default and isn’t editable. Don’t worry! You manage categories in a dedicated section of the app. All you need is a name for each category. This feature helps keep your recipes organized and allows you to create new categories on the fly.

Looking through your recipes is easy with Tastebooky! There’s also a search field to help find what you're looking for quickly. However, there isn't an option to link online recipe sources, so you'll need to look elsewhere for new ideas or information.

No Export Options Available

Another thing to note is that there are no export options available in Tastebooky. This means sharing recipes with friends or family isn’t straightforward unless they’re right next to you using the app on your PC.

All things considered, Tastebooky is a lightweight application perfect for storing your custom or favorite recipes efficiently. Just remember: while it's great for saving and creating recipes, it lacks online references and sharing options!
