Take Control is a handy little program that helps you tweak some of the settings in Windows. It’s super easy to use, no matter how tech-savvy you are!
The tool features a simple interface where you can jump between different areas like HotKeys Manager, Minimized to Tray, Start with Windows, Process Explorer, Notes, Mails Check, and File Splitter and Joiner.
You can change up keyboard shortcuts for all sorts of actions. Want to minimize all your windows at once? Or maybe switch to one of your four virtual desktops? You can even create new notes or adjust the volume right from there!
This program lets you pick which active windows get minimized to the system tray. You can also control which apps start automatically when your computer boots up, end processes that are running, and jot down notes as they come to you.
Take Control also helps with email! You can fill in info for a POP3 account and check for new emails easily. Plus, it has tools for joining files together or splitting them by size.
You’ll find tons of options in the Settings area. Here, you can set Take Control to run automatically when you start your computer, choose how often it checks for emails, and even disable window alpha blending effects if that’s your thing.
This application doesn't hog your CPU or memory. It runs smoothly without crashing or freezing during tests, which is great! There's also a help file available if you ever get stuck. Just keep in mind that it hasn't had any updates in quite some time.
