Tab Browser is a handy little app for Mac that helps you check your favorite websites without messing up your workflow. It’s super easy to use and keeps everything neat and tidy.
With Tab Browser, you can say goodbye to browser clutter! Once you launch the app, it adds a new icon to your status bar. Just click on that icon, and a panel pops up where you can browse a webpage you’ve set up.
Now, here's a fun fact: the Tab Browser window doesn’t have an address bar. You’ll need to set up your main link in the Preferences window first. But don’t worry! You can still follow links and navigate back and forth using simple buttons at the bottom left of the main window.
The app even comes with a list of 30 popular sites like Facebook, Twitter, Google, YouTube, Amazon, Wikipedia, and more! You can customize it with your own URL too. Plus, if you want the website to reload each time you open the panel, you can easily do that!
You’ll find some cool options in the Preferences window. For example, you can change the default size of the window or tweak the HTTP user agent so it fits just right for whatever site you're visiting. Each popular site comes with its own user agent that works best for it!
If you prefer to set your own width and height for the window manually, that's possible too! Just remember that how those dimensions work depends on how each website reacts to different user agents. Don’t forget to hit return after typing in any custom values for them to take effect!
In conclusion, Tab Browser is perfect if you want quick access to specific websites right from your status bar without interrupting what you're doing.
