When it’s time to conduct some maintenance on your system, you don’t necessarily need to do all of it manually. Tools to help users deal with areas where maintenance is of interest exist to help one waste less time on the more menial tasks, resulting in a more efficient and convenient way to keep your system running smoothly in the long run.
From the jump, the main interface will provide access to the core functionalities of the program: the Scanner, Installed, Startup, and File Cleanup menus, respectively. Each of them deals with different things, so it’s best to go through them all and see what can be done about your system.
Scanner will look up your specified drive or folder to scan your storage, helping you better visualize if there are any files taking up too much space.
Installed will display your installed programs: anything you have no use for can be erased by clicking Uninstall.
Startup shows you the apps that are set to run automatically upon system boot up. File Cleanup will analyze your machine to find any redundant data that can safely be dispensed with.
System Utilities isn’t anything new, and it’s likely that more advanced users may find its feature set to be largely lacking. Nevertheless, you can get some good use out of this if you’re after a simple solution that primarily deals with storage maintenance duties.
