How to Use the Tool

Here's how to get started:

• First, download the Ransom_unlock.exe.


• Save it somewhere easy to find, like your Windows desktop.


• Next, find that file you just downloaded.


• Double-click on the Ransom_unlock.exe file to run the tool.

Selecting Your Code Format

Now, you’ll have to choose an option based on how the threat displayed its code:

• If the code looks like "41NN1234567" (where NN are two random numbers), type it in just as it is. For example, "41671234567".


• If your code starts with "411" (like "4111234567"), enter it exactly as shown.


• If your code starts with "k2", then input "4110" followed by specific digits: third, fourth, sixth, seventh, ninth, and tenth. So if your code is "k2670620000", you'd enter "4110676200".

Unlocking Your System

The unlock code will pop up on your screen. Make sure to note it down and type it into the dialog box on the infected computer. Then:

• Click the button at the bottom right of that dialog box.


• Finally, hit any key to close out of the tool!
