SuperSearchSeven
SuperSearchSeven is a handy sidebar gadget that makes searching any website super easy! You can pick your favorite sites in the settings, and then just click from your desktop to search them instantly. How cool is that?
Setting Up Your Search
To get started, you need to find a site's search URL. Just go to the website you want to add and look for its search function. Once you find it, type something like TEST into the search box and hit the Search button. You’ll see the site’s search page URL pop up in your browser’s address bar with your test text included.
How to Copy Your URL
Now, here’s what you do next: Copy that URL but stop right before the test text starts. Paste this into one of the Search URL boxes in SuperSearchSeven's settings. Simple, right?
Tweaking Your Settings
Sometimes, after your test text, there might be more stuff in the site's URL. If that's the case, copy that extra part into the Closing URL box too—again, leave out the test text.
Add Names and Home URLs
You’ll also need to fill out the Name and Home URL fields. The Home URL is used when nothing is typed into the gadget's search box. It’s just another way to make your searches easier!
