There are lots of things we’d like to tweak about macOS, or any operating system for that matter. Sadly, macOS tends to be quite restrictive in terms of customization, but third-party apps always find a way around that.

Supercharge bundles multiple useful tweaks or shortcuts that make interacting with macOS and various apps easier. These include toggling system features, hotkeys for various functions, clearing the clipboard, changing how files are opened and deleted, adding Dock spaces, and more.

I never got used to the Cmd+Delete shortcut for deleting files. It just seems like a modifier is unnecessary, and it’s a lot simpler on Windows. Supercharge makes it so you can send files to the trash with just one press of the Delete key.

If you don’t like that Return is used for renaming rather than opening files, you can change that too. When you enable this tweak, Shift+Return can be used to rename files.

Also useful is the ability to toggle all Finder windows with a single, customizable hotkey. This is great for productivity and multitasking if you only have one display to work with.

The list of shortcuts is expected to grow, but for now, you can set up hotkeys for toggling dark mode, low power mode, clearing the clipboard, toggling the Passwords menu bar window, and hiding all windows. The latter is quite useful if you need to quickly clear your screen of anything you don’t want to be seen.

Finally, you have the option to add two types of spacers to your Dock. They can help with organizing your icons and are easy to remove afterward — just right-click the spacer to clear it.

Supercharge appears to bring together every helpful macOS tweak and shortcut the developer has come up with, and it’s an awesome collection. A lot more features are promised, and it all comes at a very reasonable price, so it’s well worth a try.
