sTunes (formerly known as Streaming for SoundCloud) is a cool way to enjoy the SoundCloud music sharing service without making your browser messy. It saves you time when you want to check out what track is playing or control the playback.

Getting Started with sTunes

When you first open sTunes, you'll see a welcome panel that walks you through all the important features. One neat thing is that you can easily switch between desktop mode and mini controller mode.

Browsing SoundCloud Made Easy

You can browse the SoundCloud site with or without an account. It’s just like using a web browser! But if you're logged in, it’s way easier to create and access your playlists.

Mini Player Features

If you decide to use the mini player, it’s super simple! You can manage your current playlist and control playback. You'll see the track name and artist, plus you can mark your favorites quickly.

Handy Widget for Quick Access

sTunes also comes with a handy widget that fits right into your Notification Center's Today panel. This widget has all the same controls as the mini controller: a progress bar showing how far along you are in the track, buttons to play or pause, and options to skip to the next or previous song.

Custom Hotkeys for Smooth Navigation

The app includes system-wide hotkeys for common commands, which makes navigating even easier! You’ll find default key combinations in the status bar menu, and you can change them in Preferences.

Tweaking Notifications and Transparency

This Preferences area also lets you turn on notification alerts, adjust how transparent you want the app's interface to be, or enable media keys so you can control playback or jump tracks easily.
