Strife is an interesting blend between the First Person Shooter game genre and Role Play Game elements that comes with an engaging story, which takes you to a dystopian future.

Dystopian Future Setting

Our Earth has been struck by a comet that wiped out most of the population, fact that threatened the survival of the human race. On top of that, a fanatical religious cult named "The Order" took control over the planet. Subsequently, the Blue Marble faced plagues, famine, wars, and numerous other disaster that followed the cult.

The Rebel Group

However, a rebel group, that goes under the name of The Front, managed to form a powerful group that fights against the oppressive rulers. Strife puts you in the role of a nomadic mercenary that happens to visit Tarnhill, a large location dominated by heavy fighting between The Order and The Front.

Your Choices Matter

During your search for The Front, your character decided to take a short break in a place thought to be safe. Unfortunately, The Order followers have been searching for suspicious personages that wander the area. Since you are one of those characters, you will have to decide the faith of your hero and make difficult decisions that will influence the outcome of the story.

Join Forces or Go Solo?

You can choose to join the resistance and fight against The Order or join your forces with The Order overlords and even work on your own. You can also change the faith of humanity and take down the alien overlords or contribute to the ending of the human race. The choice is yours and, as a result, Strife comes with three possible endings.

Multiple Endings and Gameplay Styles

Each quest requires a different approach and you can play stealthy in order to silently reach your target or bring out the big guns and take down all enemies. You can build up your character and increase the accuracy and stamina as you play. You can also use the in-game currency to purchase new weapons and upgrade existing ones.
