SteGUI is a handy graphical front-end for Steghide. This means it helps you view images and play sounds that Steghide uses as cover files, all from one easy-to-use tool. Plus, it comes with a simple text editor for managing your text payload files.
Right now, SteGUI only works on GNU/Linux systems. That's because it needs support for pstreams and alsa. Before you jump into compiling SteGUI, make sure you've got the development packages installed:
You also need to have Steghide version 0.5.1 or higher installed.
If you're ready to compile SteGUI, just type this in your terminal:
make all
After that, you can run SteGUI by entering:
bin/steGUI
This latest version has some cool updates! We’ve fixed the makefile a bit and added a bz2 target for better functionality.
