What is a Virtual Safe?

The main screen of Steganos Safe looks modern and has a clean setup. You can create different types of safes:

• A regular safe to encrypt data only on your current computer.


• A portable safe for use on external hard drives or USB drives, so you can take your files anywhere.


• A cloud safe that encrypts data in your cloud account—just log in with your credentials!

Setting Up Your Safe

When creating a safe, you get to pick its name, size (in MB), and set up a password. You can even choose whether to store the password on a key device or not. Once that's done, you can open the hidden safe right from the main panel, which makes it visible in your file manager. Want extra security? You can hide the safe inside an audio or video file too!

Lots of Customization Options

Steganos Safe offers tons of settings through its context menu for each selected safe. For example, you can:

• Highlight or delete it.


• Change the drive letter or password.


• Mount it as a local or removable drive.


• Move the SLE file (which contains everything in the safe) to another spot.


• Set apps to run after opening or closing the safe.


• Edit its size and even set up a global hotkey for quick access.
