Description
SQLScan
SQLScan is a small but mighty tool that helps admins spot possible weaknesses in the SQL servers they manage. It's especially good at finding those pesky Slammer and SQHell worms, which love to target Microsoft SQL 2000 servers that aren't kept up-to-date.
Easy to Use Functionality
This software is super user-friendly! You just need to pop in a list of IP addresses that you want to scan. You can keep adding more addresses whenever you like or even load a ready-made list from a file. The IPs can be individual (like 10.1.2.3) or in ranges (such as 10.1.2.3-10.3.4.5 or even 10.1.2.3-254). It's really flexible!
Selecting Your SQL Port
Don't forget, you can pick which SQL port to scan too! By default, it uses port 1434, but if your network needs something different, just type it into the port selection box before starting your scan.
Running the Scan
Once you're all set up, hit the Start button and watch the magic happen! The program will gather data and show you the SQL query response from any hosts that respond.
Saving Your Results
When your scan wraps up, saving your results is a breeze! Just click on the “Save...” button located at the bottom right of your window. You can choose to save it as an HTML file or in comma-separated values (CSV) format—just pick what works best for you! The saved file will look exactly like how it shows up on your screen since sorting by clicking column headers carries over too.
