How to Install Spring IDE
If you're ready to get started, here’s how to install it:
- Open Eclipse.
- Go to Help -> Software Updates -> Find and Install.
- Select “Search for new features to install” and hit Next.
- Select New Remote Site. Name it “Spring IDE updatesite” and use this URL: http://springide.org/updatesite/. Click OK.
- You should see “Spring IDE updatesite” now. Click on it and check the box next to “Spring IDE”.
- Also, check the box next to “Eclipse.org updatesite” and ensure you have the right version of GEF for your Eclipse version. Hit Next.
- Select “Graphical Editing Framework” and the latest version of “Spring IDE” from the list, then click Next.
- Acknowledge by checking “I accept…” and click Next. Choose or add the site needed for installation, then click Finish.
- If you see any warning dialogs during installation (since both features aren't digitally signed), just hit Install.
- You’ll be asked if you want to restart; go ahead and say yes!
