Spring IDE for Eclipse is a cool tool that helps you work with the Spring Framework easily. It's packed with plugins that make handling Bean Factory configuration files a breeze.

How to Install Spring IDE

If you're ready to get started, here’s how to install it:

1. Open Eclipse.


2. Go to Help -> Software Updates -> Find and Install.


3. Select “Search for new features to install” and hit Next.


4. Select New Remote Site. Name it “Spring IDE updatesite” and use this URL: http://springide.org/updatesite/. Click OK.


5. You should see “Spring IDE updatesite” now. Click on it and check the box next to “Spring IDE”.


6. Also, check the box next to “Eclipse.org updatesite” and ensure you have the right version of GEF for your Eclipse version. Hit Next.


7. Select “Graphical Editing Framework” and the latest version of “Spring IDE” from the list, then click Next.


8. Acknowledge by checking “I accept…” and click Next. Choose or add the site needed for installation, then click Finish.


9. If you see any warning dialogs during installation (since both features aren't digitally signed), just hit Install.


10. You’ll be asked if you want to restart; go ahead and say yes!
