Description
Specview is a streamlined OS X application specially designed for 1D spectral visualization and analysis of astronomical spectograms.
Specview is capable of reading all the Hubble Space Telescope spectral data formats, preview spectra from MAST, as well as data from several other instruments (such as IUE, FUSE, ISO, FORS and SDSS), and data from generic FITS and ASCII tables.
Specview can also read data from Virtual Observatory servers and files in the SPC Galactic format used in the chemistry field.
Specview's built-in tools enable users to plot and analyze all the loaded data and save the generated graph.
