If you work with nonlinear video editors such as Final Cut Pro 7 or Avid Media Composer and you need to import multiple audio files and preserve their metadata, then Songster is the application you need. Songster is a practical and very useful application specially designed to help you import audio files in Avid Media Composer or Final Cut Pro 7 in just a couple of minutes.

Start using Songster by dragging and dropping the desired audio files onto Songster's drop zone in the main window, discreet drop target window, status bar icon, or Dock icon. From Songster's main window, choose the target application, set the desired clip name, and add a custom column with its content.

After dropping your sound files, Songster automatically generates an ALE AvidLog Exchange file that embodies all metadata. This ALE file can be saved to your Mac's disk and then imported into Avid bin and batch-imported into the media. Importing audio files into Final Cut Pro 7 is even easier - just drag your music, sound effects, or folders containing sound files from Finder onto Songster's drop zone and let the application do the hard work for you.

Moreover, Songster allows you to adjust the frame rate, set the destination bin name, choose an output folder for exported XML files, and even send the XML information directly to Final Cut Pro, saving you precious time. It is important to note that Songster is compatible with Final Cut Pro 5.1.2 up to 7.x but does not support Final Cut Pro X.
