Snapp is a super handy tool for sharing files with your friends or coworkers. Instead of uploading your files to a third-party server and then sending out links, Snapp lets you send files directly. Isn't that cool?
So here's how it goes: Snapp adds a little menulet to your status bar and an icon in the Dock. This makes sending files a breeze! Just drag and drop the files you want to share onto these icons. Then, type in the email addresses of the people you want to send them to, add a quick message if you like (totally optional), and hit send!
If someone sends you a file through Snapp, you'll get a notification right away. You can check out the status bar panel to confirm or reject the transfer. If your teammates are also using Snapp, sharing files is as easy as pie!
To get started with Snapp, you'll need to register for a free account. Right now, it's still in beta mode, which means there are some limits on file size and how many transfers or recipients you can have. Plus, there's a monthly transfer limit without any option to upgrade at this time.
When you're using Snapp to transfer files, it automatically encrypts them with AES-256 encryption. It temporarily stores your data on Amazon S3 servers but don't worry; once the transfer is done, those files are wiped clean from their servers.
Snapp really simplifies things when it comes to transferring files between users! Once you've used someone's email address in the app, it remembers it for future transfers thanks to its autocomplete function. This way, you won't have to send URLs anymore; everything just flows faster!
