SleepyHead is a handy software designed to help you keep an eye on CPAP treatments. It tracks your sleep patterns using specialized devices like Philips Respironics System One Machines, ResMed S9 CPAP machines, DeVilbiss Intellipap machines, or Contec CMS50 Oximeters.
So, what’s CPAP all about? Well, it stands for continuous positive airway pressure. This therapy uses air pressure to keep your airways open while you sleep. It's especially useful for folks who have breathing problems at night, like sleep apnea.
Once you download SleepyHead, it's super easy to start using. Just unzip the file and run the application—no installation needed! This means you can keep it on a USB drive and use it anywhere without cluttering your computer.
Before diving in, you'll need to import data from any of the supported machines. Most likely, this means transferring info from the device’s SD card. No big deal!
Once you've got everything loaded up, you can check out a 'Daily' report that shows your sleeping activity. It tells you when you fell asleep or woke up, how many hours you slept, and even details about specific events like 'Obstructive Apnea', 'Clear Airway Apnea', or 'Hypopnea'. You can also see things like 'Event Flags', 'Flow Rates', 'Pressure', and 'Leak' right in the main window.
The 'Overview' tab in SleepyHead lets you look at sleep activity over a longer time frame. This is great for spotting any changes in your sleep patterns!
The goal of SleepyHead is to help you track the sleep habits of one or more CPAP users. It allows you to follow their progress over time and keeps all the important data handy for analysis and treatment.
