SkyCad is a cool app made for scientists and hobbyists who want an easy way to create rockets and spaceships. Whether you're just starting out or have some experience, this software is super handy!

Design and Calculate with Ease

This tool not only helps you design your rocket, but it can also calculate important stuff like center of gravity, center of pressure, stability, rocket length, and mass. Pretty neat, right?

2D Models with 3D Views

Everything starts in 2D, but you can switch to a 3D view to see how your prototype moves around! You can even spin it around its axes to get a better look.

User-Friendly Interface

The main window in SkyCad is designed to be intuitive. You’ll find menus that showcase all the features without any fuss. Most of the screen shows your prototype while a handy toolbar on the left has all the building blocks you need—like engines, mass objects, body tubes, noses, and ballast.

Add Objects Easily

When you're ready to add something new to your design, just click on it! You’ll set its dimensions right away but can change them later by double-clicking on the object anytime.

Real-Time Calculations

The calculations happen in real-time. This means if you adjust an element of your design, SkyCad updates everything instantly! Plus, there's a toolbar under the Objects area where you can measure length and angles yourself.

Save Your Creations

You can save your models wherever you want and come back to them later. If you're new to rocketry projects, don’t worry—there’s a built-in set of rocket samples in the installation folder that you can use!

A Fun Experiment!

Overall, trying out SkyCad was a great experience for us. It's not every day we find such unique software! Sure, there are areas that could improve, but we really appreciate what they’ve done here.
