ShipShape is a handy software tool for anyone looking to design various types of vessels like boats, yachts, or ferries. Even though it's been around for a while and hasn't seen updates lately, it still gets the job done. Just keep in mind that it might not work perfectly with the latest Windows versions.

Easy Setup and User-Friendly Design

Getting started with this program is super simple. It has an old-school interface that's straightforward—think plain and practical. You won't find any flashy designs here, but navigating through the options is easy-peasy!

Edit Ship Properties Effortlessly

You can tweak all sorts of ship properties, like the title, measurement units, limits, and even how many rows and columns you want to use. Want to add curves? No problem! You can also specify details such as descriptions, number of points, default X location, type (whether it's a section or longitudinal), and input methods like keyboard entry or digitizing.

Curves and Data Management

The program lets you edit curves by scaling them up or down, adjusting offsets, rotating them around, or even deleting them if needed. You can recalculate data too! Plus, there are features for setting parameters related to orthogonal and inclined planes along with hydro-statistics and sectional area.

Print Reports and Export Projects

If you need to share your work, you can print out reports for close inspection. Projects can be exported in several formats—including AutoCAD drawings (both 2D and 3D DXF files), VRML files, bitmap images, or AVS UCD files.

No Crashes Here!

In our tests, ShipShape performed really well! It didn't crash or throw any error messages our way. The response time was great too—using low CPU and RAM means it won't slow your computer down at all. While it's a bummer that it hasn't been updated for some time now, if you're on an older version of Windows, launching ShipShape should be smooth sailing!
