Description
Shiba FOR MAC
Product Description
Shiba is a beautifully designed Markdown preview utility that provides support for the GitHub flavored Markdown syntax and also integrates lint functionalities. The app enables you to see the effects of your syntax modifications, but also highlights possible errors in the source document.
Key Features:
- Minimalist user interface with a warm color palette
- Drag and drop Markdown files for easy preview
- Settings panel to monitor specific directories
- Automatically reflects modifications in real-time
Technical Specifications:
- Integrates mdast-lint and markdownlint
- Automatically assesses Markdown syntax and displays errors
- Displays full path to files or folders in status bar
- Manually reload rendering with a button press
The drawback of the Shiba lint function is that it does not state the exact line containing the error, which might be time-consuming for large Markdown documents. Despite this, Shiba is a stylish OS X utility that integrates Markdown preview and lint capabilities, refreshing documents automatically when modifications are saved.
Note that Shiba does not include editing capabilities, so corrections must be made on the original file using a third-party text editor.
