ShazamScrobbler is a handy app that works with the Shazam desktop client. It lets you quickly scrobble songs that you discover to your last.fm account. Pretty cool, right?
This app is super low-key. Once you connect it to your last.fm account, it pretty much runs on its own—no extra clicks needed from you!
Before you dive in, make sure you've got the Shazam desktop client installed and running on your Mac. The best part? Download the app, and it'll not bug you about whether Shazam is up and running.
The next step is linking it to your last.fm account. Just enter your credentials, and you're good to go! You’ll even see which account is active in the ShazamScrobbler menu. If you need to switch accounts, no worries—you can log out anytime.
Once everything's set up, the magic happens! As soon as you catch a song with the Shazam desktop client, ShazamScrobbler automatically detects it and scrobbles the song info for you. This way, even if you're not using streaming services, you can share what you've been listening to!
Right now, ShazamScrobbler can't tell apart songs scrobbled by different players linked to last.fm. But don’t worry—it avoids posting duplicates! Just keep in mind that it might not work with every version of the Shazam app. To get things rolling smoothly, make sure to tag at least one song in the client before using the scrobbler.
If everything's configured right and scrobbling is enabled in the menu, you're all set! Sit back and enjoy letting ShazamScrobbler do its thing without any hassle.
