So, here’s how it all started: the developer kicked things off by using a modular Doepferheim to create a buzzing wave that really stands out. He then cranked up the levels while recording it into Ableton, which gave it that hard-hitting sound we all love.

Making Loops with Simpler

Next up, he made a super short loop in Simpler and mapped the start point to a Macro knob. This means you can easily scan through it like a wavetable. Pretty neat, right?

Adding Effects

To spice things up, he added two effects to the sound chain: a phaser and an overdrive. The phaser creates those awesome pseudo formant-shifting effects that make everything sound richer.

The Power of Overdrive

The overdrive kicks in to add some distortion, giving your tracks that extra punch! And guess what? He also included a tempo-synced LFO on the filter cutoff. This just means your sound can groove along with your beat!

Tweakability is Key!

Finally, the developer spent some time adjusting the ranges for each Macro knob so you can tweak them just right! Sure, wub-wubs are fun and all, but having flexibility in your synth is what really makes it shine in your mixes.
