Secure Message is a handy offline tool for anyone wanting to encrypt their messages before sending or storing them. With six different algorithms, you can easily protect your data with a password. Plus, it can decrypt protected messages too! And the best part? You can take it anywhere, making it super convenient for busy folks.
Easy to Use Features
The way this software works is pretty straightforward since it's all about text. Just type or paste your message in the designated area, then create a password and put it in the right spot. The program even counts characters for both your message and password.
Encrypting Your Messages
Once you've got everything set up, head over to the toolbar and hit Encrypt. Before you do that, don’t forget to pick an algorithm! The default one is called Nominal and gives you 480-bit protection. But if you want more options, you've got Variable at 360 bits, Low at 984 bits, Medium at 2072 bits, High at 4056 bits, and Extreme with a whopping 8000 bits!
Saving Your Encrypted Messages
After encrypting your message into a jumbled mess of characters, you have two choices. You can either copy and paste it wherever you want or save it locally as a TXT file.
Decrypting Made Simple
If you need to decrypt your message later on, just use Secure Message again! You'll need the same password you used when encrypting it, so keep that safe because this program doesn’t come with a password manager.
Customize Your Experience
The Options menu lets you change how the app looks but not much else. If you're feeling like giving it a fresh vibe with new colors or fonts, there are plenty of styles to choose from!
